World2Web can publish your Foundry journals to the web, so you and your players can view lore or quest ideas when your Foundry instance is offline - even publish session notes blog style, with their character as the author. This documentation site is created in Foundry using World2Web using default settings.

Requirements

To use World2Web, you will need two accounts, both free.

  1. GitHub. All of your content will be stored at GitHub. This keeps it entirely under your exclusive control; this module will never even be able to see your content. GitHub also keeps a history of your changes, and supports a wide range of integrations.

  2. A hosting provider. GitHub stores your content, but some public host will have to serve it to your players. World2Web offers out of the box on-ramps for three such providers:

    1. CloudFlare

    2. Netlify

    3. Vercel

These three providers offer simple integration paths and generous enough free tiers for most any Game Master, but any provider or self-hosting setup that can serve regular HTML will be able to serve a World2Web site. Advanced users may wish to push their site content elsewhere, or customize their site.
